Galactic Empire: Building your Deck

Ah, the deck. Many have tried to perfect it, but few have succeed. This time though, the Kyber Squid is here to walk you through building the perfect deck. So without further ado, let's dive in!

Galactic Empire Aerial Attack Deck
Don't ever use this one. Ever.
HOW TO USE IT:
Trust me. You can't win with this thing.
HOW TO BEAT IT:
Destroy one turret and you've just about won.

Galactic Empire Defensive Deck
This deck is one arguably one of the hardest to pull off, as it requires a balance between a healthy offense and a strong defense.
HOW TO USE IT:
For your leader, I would use the 40th Anniversary Vader (if you have it), and if you don't, try Agent Kallus. As for the deck itself, there is a plethora of defensive Galactic Empire cards to choose from, including the C-14A Stun Grenade, the Dioxis Grenade, the Energy Net, the Energy Pike Trap, Imperial Infantry Turret, the Imperial Laser Turret, the Nerve Gas Grenade, the TIE Bomber, the TIE Fighter, the WED Treadwell Droid, and probably about 20 more that I'm missing. However, I would personally reccommend the Dioxis Grenade, the Nerve Gas Grenade, the TIE Fighter, and the WED Treadwell Droid. The remaining slots in your deck should be used for offensive cards, as to balance the deck.
HOW TO BEAT IT:
Launch sneak attacks on your enemy's unguarded turrets.

Galactic Empire Sneak Attack Deck
A challenge to use correctly, this one is very effective if you do it right.
HOW TO USE IT:
I would reccommend using the Imperial Sharpshooter and the Rocket Stormtrooper for your sneak attacks, as well as a host of cards such Death Troopers, Stormtroopers and Zabrak Assasins to launch a frontal assualt on one of your enemy's other turrets as a distraction. The toughest part of using a sneak attack deck is keeping your enemy leader alive. This is nearly essential, as most leaders, when they respawn, will notice a sneak attack and move to stop it.
HOW TO BEAT IT:
The only way to effectively guard against a sneak attack deck is constant vigialance. I would, however, reccommend going to Settings and turning on Turret Hit Vibration for ally turrets.

Galactic Empire Swarm Deck
By far one of the most notorious and popular decks is the swarm deck. It consists of a variety of organic unit cards, often Death Troopers, Imperial Heavy Gunners, Jump Troopers, Riot Control Stormtroopers, and (of course) Stormtroopers. If played right, the Heavy Gunners can be by far the most lethal part of a swarm deck.
HOW TO USE IT:
Use Grand Admiral Thrawn for your leader. He randomly summons two Stormtroopers, his special ability is boosting ally morale, and his skill is giving his troopers an adrenal boost. As a bonus, his unique card, Governer Pryce, "periodically recharges the energy bar," which can be extremely helpful in a faltering assualt. If you don't have Thrawn, he can be acquired on mission 13. Unfortunately, Mission 12 requires you to reach Tier 5, so if you aren't Tier 5, shame on you. Just kidding! Anyway, the swarm deck is best played for destroying turrets while the enemy leader is respawning. While using a swarm deck for the latter purpose, make sure to keep your Heavy Gunners at the back of the formation so that the turret does not pick them off immediately. The swarm deck is also very handy for defense if played correctly, especially in 2v2. Use the swarm deck to pressure your enemy and force them to pour all their resources into defense. In this way, you can hang onto your lead while running down the clock.
HOW TO BEAT IT:
Now matter how many units you place down, the Galactic Empire Swarm Deck is vulnerable to aeriel assualts: U-wings, X-Wings, and Y-wings. Always keep an X-wing card in your deck to counter swarm decks. My personal reccomendation of the three (the first of which is Bodhi Rook's unique card) is the X-Wing. X-Wings are especially handy for knocking out swarms in 2v2, where your enemy is forced into one of three thin, restricted lanes.
